UAF is a not-for-profit organization. It operates in accordance with relevant international standards and requirements and maintains integrity and impartiality while taking into account national and public interest. UAF has established an independent, impartial, and transparent accreditation system. As a not-for-profit accreditation body, decisions made by UAF are not subject to any commercial or financial obligations.
UAF is internationally recognized by having a signatory status across multilateral recognition arrangement of International Accreditation Forum (IAF) and mutual recognition arrangements of Asia Pacific Accreditation Cooperation (APAC).
UAF represents the interests of the stakeholders at international forums through membership and active participation with simultaneously ensuring measures to safeguard impartiality and objectivity of its accreditation process.
United Accreditation Foundation (UAF) provides accreditation to certification bodies for various management system schemes as per ISO/IEC 17021 as well as Human health care management system scheme and Association of Health Providers(AHPI) Scheme- Green and Clean hospital management system scheme (GCHMS-Part I) for Hospitals and Green and Clean hospitality management system scheme (GCHMS-Part II) for safe and Healthy workplaces, Personnel certification bodies as per ISO/IEC 17024, Testing and Calibration Laboratories as per ISO/IEC 17025, Inspection bodies as per ISO/IEC 17020 based on an assessment of their competence as per its criteria and in accordance with UAF and international standards and guidelines. The UAF schemes of accreditations for Medical imaging centers as per ISO 15189 and Certification bodies as per ISO/IEC 17065 are under revision and will be available for accreditation in the near future.
